Branch 1: Naturalist Knowledge
& Ecoliteracy Skills forest ecology • tree biology • plant and fungi intelligences• forests and climate change • bioregionalism • reading the landscape • flora & fauna of the forest • rewilding and bushcraft • wild ethics • phenology • identification & ethical wild crafting of edible plants • naturalist teaching methods • native science & indigenous perspectives |
Branch 2: Multi-Sensory Awareness Skills

NOTE: The International Ecopsychology Society requires a minimum of 270 Hours of coursework, not including Final Project, for Certification.

— Field Immersions: BOTH (Spring) March 27–April 6, 2021 & (Autumn) October 2–12, 2021 (Tentative dates and location)
Field Immersion Location: At forest locations in Northern California and/or UK (TBD)

-Field Immersions: The Roots of Forest Ecotherapy along with Experiential Skills of the Four Branches will be explored at various forest locations in Northern California. Some sessions include guest presenters and hands-on workshops. Opportunities for additional international trips to forests around the world, including Japan.
-Online Modules: Individual Courses and Components the program will be available Online.
-Personal Practice: As part of their course of study, Students will develop their own personal practice of connecting with nature, sensory awareness, and personal inquiry of ecological identity.
-Learning Resources: Students will be provided with additional supporting materials of theory and practice through Readings, Videos, Web Resources, Experiential Assignments, and Journal Questions.
-Outcomes & Final Project: Students will have an additional 10 months after completing their 2nd Intensive to complete their Final Project in their own Bioregion, with Mentoring support. The Program culminates in an oral demonstration of competency and Final Project of demonstrating practice and leadership in an applicable field.
*Certification: Upon completion of requirements, students with receive a Certificate in Applied Ecopsychology (The profession of "Ecotuner") —with a focus in Forest Ecotherapy Facilitation—from the International Ecopsychology Society.
